Yet another rant about work
I put in a holiday form 3 weeks ago for my Christmas holiday. It means I would be having 2 weeks off altogether, which I dont think is unreasonable, seeing as I havent had more than a consecutive week off since I worked here and noone else is having that amount of time off over the Christmas period.
So why hasnt my manager got back to me yet? When I sent it to him he kept saying that we would discuss it and it fizzled into nothing. So I emailed him again yesterday, but I know hes ignoring it.
I dont know what the big deal is. Theres plenty of cover, and I worked Christmas and New Year last year. Its just getting me down a bit because it feels like that people with kids here are looked upon more favourably when it comes to Christmas. As far as Im aware, its first come first served. I have enough holiday left to cover it too.
Also, a couple of the girls in my office put in for holiday over Christmas when I asked for it, and theyve got it! They only put theirs in last week! So if he says no now, I will be so mad!
I have a cold too, so am extra grumpy at the moment!

Guess the only thing you can do, is try to talk to him directly. Emails are to easy to ignore (Had my share of it, though I guess in my case the reason is, those people receive to many emails in the first place).
I'm lucky enough, my Xmas hoidays are booked in (3 weeks, still got 4 days left to carry over though).
Well fingers crossed, you get the time off and have a lovely Xmas
